What is the Fireside Festival? It’s an introduction to what’s hot this winter in Canberra District wines. The Canberra region is famous for its premium cool climate wines, showcasing the local terroir and innovation of our winemakers. Find yourself in front of a roaring fire this winter, warming your soul with local wines, heating your heart with art of wine experiences and filling your bellies with delicious food.
Ignite your passion for everything cool climate wine related and heed the seductive call of Canberra’s hottest wineries.Head out to our cellar doors – they’ll be featuring their amazing winter wines, red and white; welcoming with open and warm arms, as we head into our coldest month. Rug up in your winter woolies, slip on your quintessential Canberra puffer jacket, sip fine wine and get ready to heat up.
Stay in town – the coolest Capital has the hottest venues, and we’ll combine our love of local fine food and wine tasting experiences, education and hospitality that will knock your woollen socks off.
The Fireside Festival is not just about wine and food. It’s about having a conversation with inspirational like-minded people by the fireside or partaking in a series of musical experiences for the ultimate winter music sesh, all while snuggled into an oversized chair with a glass of Pinot Noir, ensuring that you’ve got the best of the cool climate wines to keep you fortified this winter.
The Festival finale will be a winter dinner to end all winter affairs at one of Canberra’s hottest restaurants.
Throughout the month long festival, which coincides with the Canberra Truffle Festival, make sure to include a visit to the vineyards and cellar doors, both inside and outside of the Canberra borders when preparing your Fireside itinerary. Get your feet ready for warming your ties by the fire, your senses ready for sensory wine classes, put your dancing shoes on for live music, buy some stretchy pants for all the food and wine pairings, and get out amongst it!
Tickets to all events will be limited as our capacity to host numbers is still reliant on existing Covid-19 restrictions in both NSW and the ACT, and will sell fast, so don’t delay in getting your itinerary organised.
