The NSW Caravan and Camping Industry Association (CCIA) is bumping in and ready to welcome crowds to its first Illawarra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo at Kembla Grange Racecourse from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 February 2020.
The event is on for three big days showcasing the latest in caravans, motorhomes, campervans, camper trailers, tents, caravan and camping equipment, touring accessories and holiday parks all in the one great location. It’s the perfect place to check out over 100 exhibitors and start planning your next getaway.
Visitors to the Expo will have the chance to enter the passport competition to win $1,500 worth of holiday accommodation at a CCIA NSW member holiday park of their choice. CCIA has over 400 holiday parks in some of the best locations across the state.
Australians of all ages are rediscovering – and redefining the caravan and camping lifestyle as they seek to connect with nature and the outdoors in regional NSW.
The caravan and camping industry is continually responding with major new innovations that continue to enhance the holiday experience. This includes new technology being incorporated into the design and build quality of all types of RVs; the massive investment made by holiday parks in upgrading accommodation and incorporating new experiences such as glamping, plus the innovations in camping equipment which make it easier and quicker to pack and unpack a campsite.
RV ownership is also on the rise in the Illawarra with 7800 RVs registered in the Illawarra region. One in every 15 homes in the Illawarra own a recreational vehicle. Comparing this to the rest of the state; where one in every 18 households owns an RV; this means that households in the Illawarra are 20% more likely to own an RV than the broader NSW population.
